🌀 About the Instructor|Ted  

Chef Ted Liao Yongxun studied food science and brewing technology in college and co-founded Monsoon. His culinary style blends traditional Hakka with modern innovation, with a strong focus on plant-based diets. Ted’s diverse experience spans local revitalization projects and community building. He has extensive fieldwork experience and hosts the Hakka TV show *I Turn Travel into a Dish*, showcasing his deep understanding of food and culture. The show won the Best Lifestyle Program at the 28th Asian Television Awards.

Ted’s philosophy and creative inspiration come from his deep connection to Hakka culture and his concern for global issues. Through Monsoon, he aims to bring Hakka cuisine to the international stage, turning it into a universal language.Ted has been featured in *Tatler*, *Ming Chao*, *MM Milk*, and served as a judge at the 2023 Taipei Night Market Festival. He was also a speaker at the 2024 Taiwan Food Exhibition and was recognized by the Michelin Guide in 2022 and 2023.
